GWU and Maqta Gateway Commence Registration for the Seventh Edition of the 'ATLG' training programme

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 14 March 2024: The General Women's Union (GWU) and Maqta Gateway, a subsidiary of the AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), announced the commencement of receiving applications for the seventh edition of 'ATLG' training programme. Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (Mother of the Nation), Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, the 'ATLG' programme aims to enhance the skills of UAE nationals in digitalising trade and logistics. It seeks to elevate their technical expertise for strategic projects based on innovation and modern technology.
ATLG 7.0 provides a rich opportunity for participants to gain competency in 8 specialisations.
Business analyst is one of these specialisations, which focusses on processing, interpreting and documenting business processes, products, services, and programmes through data analysis.The business analyst's role is to ensure increased business efficiency through knowledge of both, information technology and the business function.
The training programme also includes specialising as a UI designer, who develops visual concepts using computer software.
The programme offers trainings to specialise as a project coordinator, who is responsible for organising the schedule, budget and other important details of the project, as well as communication with various departments to keep everyone informed about any changes to the project plan.
Another area of specialisation is the Trade Digitalisation Support Officer, who provides 24/7 technical support to “ATLP” by providing them with the necessary knowledge of the logistics business operations and the multiple systems used.
The program also includes hands-on training for developers with knowledge of front end and back end frameworks to experience the development of both, server side and client side applications.
There are dedicated training modules for data science specialists, who can use analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect large data sets and develop data-based solutions that are explicitly tailored to the organization's needs.
Among the remaining specialisations, the programme includes trainings for Devops Engineer, who work with software developers, systems operators, and the IT team to oversee software releases and deployment.
Finally, there are training sessions for AI developers to, utilise knowledge in programming, machine learning and data science for to creating artificial intelligence systems that perform tasks that require human intervention otherwise.
Over the course of its previous 6 editions, ATLG has provided more than 106,000 hours of training, over 2,500 training courses, and 1,100 certified certificates. Since inception, ATLG has received more than 5,700 applications, trained 320 UAE nationals, provided an opportunity for more than 100,000 participants to benefit from specialised sessions in enhancing cyber awareness.
