    Acting Secretary General - Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council
    H.E. Fahad Ghareeb Al Shamsi brings extensive experience in public administration, regulatory policy, and service excellence to his role as Chairman of Maqta Technologies.

    His Excellency is currently the Acting Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Quality & Conformity Council (QCC), where he oversees the emirate’s quality infrastructure agenda and leads cross-government initiatives to elevate service excellence, transparency, and efficiency. Under his leadership, QCC has advanced Abu Dhabi’s ambition to rank among the world’s top performers on the International Quality Infrastructure for Sustainable Development Index, while deepening partnerships across the public and private sectors to strengthen quality of life and competitiveness.

    A seasoned public-sector executive, His Excellency previously held senior roles at the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs, driving strategic collaborations and digital integration to streamline cross‑border trade, reduce processing times, and improve customer experience.

    His Excellency regularly contributes to sector forums and government partnerships focused on food safety, testing and conformity, and service excellence, and continues to champion evidence‑based policy and stakeholder engagement across the emirate.

    Dr. Yasser Al Wahedi ​ NED: Non- Independent

    President - Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy
    Dr. Yasser Al Wahedi brings deep expertise in education leadership, industrial research, and advanced technologies to his role on Maqta Technologies’ Board. He is recognized for building high‑performance academic organizations and integrating AI and data‑driven methods into professional training ecosystems.

    Dr. Al Wahedi is currently the President of Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy, where he oversees strategy, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Under his leadership, the Academy has expanded industry‑aligned programmes for seafarers and maritime professionals, enhanced simulator and safety training, and strengthened international collaborations, supporting the UAE’s ambitions for maritime capability and talent development.

    Dr. Al Wahedi previously served in senior research and academic posts, authoring and co‑authoring more than 50 publications on energy efficiency and carbon‑emission reduction and holding multiple patents. He has taught and supervised graduate research across fluid mechanics, engineering economics, and process control.

    Dr. Al Wahedi holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities and contributes to scholarly and industry forums advancing innovation in maritime education.

    Mohamed Karmastaji​ NED: Independent​

    CEO – Q Mobility​
    Mohamed Hussein Karmastaji brings extensive experience in smart mobility, digital public services, and urban systems to his role on the Board of Maqta Technologies. He has led complex and scaled various initiatives that improve daily life through data, automation, and user‑centric service design.

    His Excellency is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Q Mobility, a wholly owned ADQ company that manages, operates, and develops Abu Dhabi’s Darb tolling system and Mawaqif public parking. Under his leadership, Q Mobility is integrating advanced technologies to enhance reliability, reduce congestion, and elevate customer experience while supporting the emirate’s sustainability and livability goals.

    Previously, as Executive Director of the Intelligent Transportation Systems Sector at Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre, His Excellency spearheaded AI‑enabled collaborations, including with Google, to optimize traffic signals, forecast congestion, and improve air‑quality outcomes. His Excellency’s affiliations include partnerships to strengthen industrial mobility infrastructure, notably with KEZAD Group for large‑scale truck parking and on‑street parking solutions.

    His Excellency holds an Executive MBA from Zayed University and a BSc in Computer Science from San Diego State University.

    Martin Aarup NED: Non- Independent​

    Group CFO - ADPG​
    Martin Ginge Aarup brings extensive global finance, portfolio strategy, and operational leadership experience to his role as a Non‑Executive Director of Maqta Technologies.

    He has led finance organizations across logistics, energy, and maritime sectors, guiding expansion, capital discipline, and governance in complex, multi‑market enterprises.

    Aarup is currently the Group Chief Financial Officer of AD Ports Group, responsible for financial strategy, performance management, capital allocation, and stakeholder reporting as the Group scales across clusters and geographies.

    Before joining AD Ports Group, he served as Group Head of Global Finance Operations at Marquard & Bahls in Hamburg, and as Group CFO of Oiltanking, overseeing finance for 80 terminals in 20 countries. Earlier in his career, Aarup held senior finance roles at A.P. Moller–Maersk and APM Terminals, primarily in Asia Pacific.

    Aarup holds degrees in Economics & Business Administration (Finance & Credit) from Copenhagen Business School and has completed several executive leadership programmes at IMD (Switzerland).

    Farook Al Zeer brings more than four decades of experience in logistics and freight forwarding to his role on the Board of Maqta Technologies. He has led high‑growth operations across the MENA region and is known for building integrated, technology‑enabled solutions that strengthen customer competitiveness and supply‑chain resilience.

    Al Zeer is currently Chairman of AD Ports Group’s Logistics Cluster, overseeing strategy and execution to scale end‑to‑end services in warehousing, transportation, cold chain, and last‑mile solutions. Under his leadership, the Cluster has pursued global expansion through organic growth, partnerships, and strategic acquisitions, including international capabilities via Noatum’s network, supporting the Group’s ambition to be a top‑ten global logistics provider.

    Al Zeer’s career includes senior roles at DB Schenker and Kuehne+Nagel, as well as several leadership positions across trade associations and sector bodies, including board and founding roles with the International Exhibition Logistics Association (IELA), the National Association of Freight and Logistics (NAFL), the Abu Dhabi freight forwarders association, the Jordan Business Council, and the Aviation Logistics Network.

    Al Zeer holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Jordan.
